These terms apply when you use the BarberCo-op website. By using the site you agree to them.
What BarberCo-op is
BarberCo-op is a membership network for independent barbers and barbershops. It is not currently a member-owned cooperative. Membership does not give you ownership, voting rights or a share of profits.
Listings and memberships
Basic directory listings are free. Paid memberships are billed monthly. Before you are charged anything, we will show you the price, how often you'll be billed, that the membership renews automatically and how to cancel, and we'll ask you to agree. A separate member agreement will cover paid memberships.
Some features are marked as rolling out or planned. They are not part of any plan until they are released, and you should not join because of them. Domain registration, messaging usage, payment processing and done-for-you services may be billed separately, and we will tell you the price before you buy any of them.
Demo content
Listings and websites marked “demo” are made-up examples that show how the directory works. They do not describe real barbers or shops, and any resemblance to a real business is unintended.
The directory
Listings are sorted alphabetically. Nobody pays for placement, and if we ever offer sponsored placement it will be clearly labelled. Barbers are responsible for the accuracy of their own listings, prices and services. We don't guarantee bookings, search rankings or results, and we are not a party to any appointment between a client and a barber.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you give us, and you can export your website content at any time. You give us permission to display it on your listing and website while you are a member. Only send us content you own or have permission to use, including photos of clients.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, email join@barbercoop.com with the content's location, the work you own and your contact details. We'll review it and remove infringing content.
Acceptable use
Don't post false or misleading listings, impersonate another barber or business, post fake reviews or try to break or overload the site. We may remove content or listings that break these rules.
Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or the directory.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with an updated date.
